font-size: 16px;\">you shall serve Him<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 24px;\">\u00a0\u05d5\u05bc\u05d1\u05d5\u05b9\u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">and in Him<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0 <span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 24px;\">\u05ea\u05b4\u05d3\u05b0\u05d1\u05bc\u05b8\u05e7 <\/span><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">shall cleave<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 24px;\"> \u05d5\u05bc\u05d1\u05b4\u05e9\u05c1\u05b0\u05de\u05d5 <\/span><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">and in His Name<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">In general, you should strive to imitate G-d by imitating all facets of His Lovingkindness.\u00a0 Accordingly, I am stipulating that this behavior be an additional aspect of the respect you must accord Him.\u00a0 Previously, I told you that you may only swear in His Name if you revere G-d, your G-d, worship Him, and are attached to Him in love may you swear by His Name.Torah <span style=\"font-size: 12px;\">Chumash Devarim Kehot Publication Society Page 62<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">How can we <em>cleave to G-d<\/em>?\u00a0 Cleave means to join together, to be one.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Webster says, to <em><u>adhere firmly and closely or loyally and unwaveringly<\/u><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">How can this word apply to the relationship of mere humans and the Eternal G-d?<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Two of the aphorisms of the Baal Shem Tov may help clear this up.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol start=\"18\">\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Cleaving to G\u2011d is the master-key that opens all locks. Every Jew, including the most simple, possesses the ability to cleave to the words of Torah and prayer, thereby achieving the highest degrees of unity with G\u2011d.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol start=\"23\">\n<li><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">G\u2011d commanded Noah to <em>Enter into the\u00a0teivah<\/em> (literally <em>ark<\/em>, but also <em>word<\/em>). One should enter into and cleave to the letters and words of Torah and prayer. This will protect the person and his entire extended family, enabling them to receive from G\u2011d all their necessities.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">G-d put Himself in the Torah so when we study Torah we are joining with Him.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">In Prayer we connect with G-d, speaking to Him intimately from the depths of our heart.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Mitzvah is usually translated <em>command<\/em> but it can also mean <em>connection<\/em>.\u00a0 Performing a mitzvah means that we are connected to and bonded with G-d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Devarim (Deuteronomy) 30.20<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">That you may love the L-rd your G-d, and that you may obey His Voice, and that you may cleave to Him; for He IS your life, and the length of your days;\u00a0 that\u00a0 you may live in the land which the L-rd Swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 24px;\">\u05d5\u05bc\u05e9\u05c1\u05b0\u05de\u05b7\u05e8\u05b0\u05ea\u05bc\u05b6\u05dd \u05d0\u05b6\u05ea \u05d7\u05bb\u05e7\u05bc\u05b9\u05ea\u05b7\u05d9 \u05d5\u05b0\u05d0\u05b6\u05ea \u05de\u05b4\u05e9\u05c1\u05b0\u05e4\u05bc\u05b8\u05d8\u05b7\u05d9 \u05d0\u05b2\u05e9\u05c1\u05b6\u05e8 \u05d9\u05b7\u05e2\u05b2\u05e9\u05c2\u05b6\u05d4 \u05d0\u05b9\u05ea\u05b8\u05dd \u05d4\u05b8\u05d0\u05b8\u05d3\u05b8\u05dd \u05d5\u05b8\u05d7\u05b7\u05d9 \u05d1\u05bc\u05b8\u05d4\u05b6\u05dd \u05d0\u05b2\u05e0\u05b4\u05d9 \u05d9\u05b0\u05d4\u05b9\u05d5\u05b8\u05d4<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">You shall Observe \u2013 everything from Aleph to Tav \u2013 of My Decrees \u2013 and everthing from Aleph to Tav \u2013 My Laws \u2013 that \u2013 will do \u2013 them \u2013 a man \u2013 and shall live \u2013 in them \u2013 I AM \u2013 HaShem<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">You shall therefore keep my statutes, and my judgments; which if a man does, he shall live in them; I AM The L-rd: Vayikra ( Leviticus ) 18.5<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 16px;\">See \u2013 I Gave \u2013 before you \u2013 today \u2013 everything from Aleph to Tav \u2013 Ha Chayiym ( the LIFE ) \u2013 and everthing from Aleph to Tav \u2013 Ha Tov ( the GOOD ) \u2013 and everthing from Aleph to Tav \u2013 Ha Mavet ( the EVIL )<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">See, I have set\u00a0 before you this day life and good, and death and evil: Devarim ( Deuteronomy 30.5<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\"><strong>The necessity of CHOICE<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">We have no choice in our physical death so this can\u2019t mean that.\u00a0 This is a choice between cleaving to G-d and His Ways and His Commands which are Good and choosing the death our our soul.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">It is up to each and every one of us to choose the Path of Life and shun the path of death<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;
