font-size: 16px;\">And you shall teach them \u2013 to your sons \u2013 and you shall talk \u2013 of them \u2013 when you sit \u2013 in your house \u2013 and when you go \u2013 in way \u2013 and when you lay down \u2013 and when you rise.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">The recitation of the Shema fulfills this commandment and the acceptance of G-d\u2019s Absolute Sovereignty by declaring that <strong>G-d IS ONE<\/strong>, <strong>Unique<\/strong> and <strong>Indivisible<\/strong>.\u00a0 We submit all that we have and all that we are to His Will.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">When the people of Israel enact unification by the verse \u2013<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">In the mystery of the twenty-five letters:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 24px;\">\u05e9\u05c1\u05b0\u05de\u05b7\u05e2 \u05d9\u05b4\u05e9\u05c2\u05b0\u05e8\u05b8\u05d0\u05b5\u05dc \u05d9\u05b0\u05d4\u05b9\u05d5\u05b8\u05d4 \u05d0\u05b1\u05dc\u05b9\u05d4\u05b5\u05d9\u05e0\u05d5\u05bc \u05d9\u05b0\u05d4\u05b9\u05d5\u05b8\u05d4 \u05d0\u05b6\u05d7\u05b8\u05d3<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Shema Yisrael, HaShem Elokenu, HaShem ECHAD.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">And<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">The twenty-four letters \u2013<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 24px;\">\u05d1\u05bc\u05b8\u05e8\u05d5\u05bc\u05da\u05b0 \u05e9\u05c1\u05b5\u05dd \u05db\u05bc\u05b0\u05d1\u05d5\u05b9\u05d3 \u05de\u05b7\u05dc\u05b0\u05db\u05d5\u05bc\u05ea\u05d5\u05b9 \u05dc\u05b0\u05e2\u05d5\u05b9\u05dc\u05b8\u05dd \u05d5\u05b8\u05e2\u05b6\u05d3<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Baruch Shem Kevod malkuto le-olam vaed<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Blessed be the Name of His glorious kingdom forever and ever,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">focusing on each one of them, all those letters join as one and ascend to the forty-nine gates, in the mystery of Jubilee.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">One must elevate \u05d5\u05b8\u05e2\u05b6\u05d3 \u00a0\u00a0Va-ed<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">And ever \u2013 no further \u2013 upon which the gates are opened, and the Blessed Holy One considers that person as if he had fulfilled the complete Torah, which appear in forty-nine facets, completely.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">By uttering the opening two lines of <em>Shema<\/em> with devotion and intention, the people of Israel unify <em>Tiferet<\/em> and <em>Shekhinah.<\/em>\u00a0 By focusing on each of the forty-nine letters, they stimulate these letters to join and ascend to their source in the forty-nine gates of <em>Binah<\/em>, who is known as Jubilee.\u00a0 With the elevation of the final three letters of the second line \u2013 the word \u2013<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 24px;\">\u05d5\u05b8\u05e2\u05b6\u05d3 <\/span>\u00a0\u00a0Va-ed<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\"><em>And ever<\/em> \u2013<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">The gates open and the flow of emanation descends.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">And when the gates are opened, the Holy One, Blessed be He, Regards each of such person as though he had fulfilled the whole Torah &#8211; the Torah which can be viewed from forty-nine aspects. So it is necessary to concentrate heart and mind on both the twenty-five and the twenty-four letters and to raise them with the whole force of intention to the forty-nine gates. . ( from the Siddur )<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 24px;\">\u05d1\u05bc\u05b0\u05d0\u05b5\u05d9\u05df \u05d7\u05b8\u05d6\u05d5\u05b9\u05df \u05d9\u05b4\u05e4\u05bc\u05b8\u05e8\u05b7\u05e2 \u05e2\u05b8\u05dd \u05d5\u05b0\u05e9\u05c1\u05b9\u05de\u05b5\u05e8 \u05ea\u05bc\u05d5\u05b9\u05e8\u05b8\u05d4 \u05d0\u05b7\u05e9\u05c1\u05b0\u05e8\u05b5\u05d4\u05d5\u05bc:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Where there is no vision, the people cast off restraint;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">but he who keeps the Torah is happy:\u00a0<span style=\"font-size: 12px;\"> Mishlei (Proverbs) 29.18<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'times new roman', times, serif; font-size: 24px;\">\u05e2\u05b5\u05e7\u05b6\u05d1 \u05d0\u05b2\u05e9\u05c1\u05b6\u05e8 \u05e9\u05c1\u05b8\u05de\u05b7\u05e2 \u05d0\u05b7\u05d1\u05b0\u05e8\u05b8\u05d4\u05b8\u05dd \u05d1\u05bc\u05b0\u05e7\u05b9\u05dc\u05b4\u05d9 \u05d5\u05b7\u05d9\u05bc\u05b4\u05e9\u05c1\u05b0\u05de\u05b9\u05e8 \u05de\u05b4\u05e9\u05c1\u05b0\u05de\u05b7\u05e8\u05b0\u05ea\u05bc\u05b4\u05d9 \u05de\u05b4\u05e6\u05b0\u05d5\u05b9\u05ea\u05b7\u05d9 \u05d7\u05bb\u05e7\u05bc\u05d5\u05b9\u05ea\u05b7\u05d9 \u05d5\u05b0\u05ea\u05d5\u05b9\u05e8\u05b9\u05ea\u05b8\u05d9:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Because \u2013 that &#8211;\u00a0 listened \u2013 Abraham \u2013 to my voice \u2013 and kept \u2013 my safeguards \u2013 My Mitzotay (Commands) \u2013 My Chukotay (Statutes) \u2013 and my Torahtay (Teachings)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Because Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws: <span style=\"font-size: 12px;\">Bereisheit (Genesis) 26.5<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">Abraham was blessed because he kept HaShem\u2019s Commands and taught his children and those in his household to follow those same ways.\u00a0 Some say this is blind faith but it is not.\u00a0 What it is is a total commitment to the Holy One, HaShem ECHAD.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 16px;\">The Divine Presence finds a home in the land of Israel only through the Torah, and it finds a home above only through the Torah.
