Deuteronomy 26:1-29:8 This study of mysticism in Hebrew Gematria is dedicated in the loving memory of Mr. Arnold Litman, may he rest in peace. "I have led you forty years in the wilderness, your garments have not worn out on you and your shoes have not worn out on your feet." {Deuteronomy 29:4} Our discussion here is in regard to garments.
The garments we are discussing are quite unique in that they
have prolonged existence. These garments actually grew on us,
Kal Yisroel. For example our children who were born to us, B'nei
Yisroel, during the BaMidbar were obviously infants. The clothes
of our children grew with them in the BaMidbar. Notice that the
Torah says, "{Y}our garments have not worn out on you."
This means that our garments in the BaMidbar not only had extended
life but that they Holy reader, the Torah reminds us of this phenomenal miracle. So why is it that we, Kal Yisroel, were required to visit the Kohein upon entering Eretz Canaan and say, "I have arrived in the land"? Wouldn't it be obvious to us that we had arrived in the land? So that being the case, one would have to wonder why we would have to make this declaration. The point is when we made this declaration it was an acknowledgment that our clothes had lasted the entire 40 years in the BaMidbar. We were acknowledging that G-d had provided great care for us while living in the BaMidbar. This very special and unique care even included items like our clothing. Now that we have arrived in Eretz Canaan we have the means and ability to provide our own clothing without the stressful conditions of the BaMidbar. After all, we have entered the land of milk and honey, the Promised Land. The Gematria for Kee - Vaw See - Ehl - Haw Aw Rehetze meaning "that I have arrived in the land" is 770. This Gematria is the proclamation of our arriving in Eretz Canaan. It also is the Gematria for Sae - Mi Lahs, meaning, "garment" as in reference to the garment that Hashem covered us with and the garment that did not wear out in the BaMidbar! So we have the connection between our arriving in Eretz Canaan and the clothes that lasted 40 years during our existence in the BaMidbar in the Gematria of 770. From right to left: Kee - Vaw See - Ehl - Haw Aw Rehetze Kee Vaw See Haw Aw Rehetze {Ha - Eretz} 770 = 30 + 413 + 31 + 296
Sae - Mi Lahs Returning to the present... Dear reader, this is what we want today. We desire Hashem's prolonged existence plan. We want the same plan that our forefathers had. We want that special garment to cover us. We want that special garment to protect us. The best way for us to be included in Hashem's prolonged existence plan is for each Jew to snuggle in close underneath the wings of Torah observance. We know that the Torah is close to Hashem and that those who are close to the Torah are close to Hashem! Now is the time to enroll in Hashem's prolonged existence plan!
