{Exodus 21:1 - 24:18} By Dr. Akiva G. Belk
This study of mysticism in Hebrew Gematria is dedicated in the loving memory of Kathryne Lynn Wright, may she rest in peace. We concluded the regular Torah study of this week's Parsha, Mishpatim, with the following words, "Christians / Messianics are waiting "for that which is perfect to come.' We the Jewish People already have it. David Ha Melech said the TORAH of Hashem is PERFECT!" Those of us who are struggling with turning over a new leaf, doing shuvah, actually are struggling with implementing the Torah, that which is perfect into our lives. Our Gematria for this parsha, Mishpatim, sews these comments together. The first two Hebrew words of our parsha are Vi Ay Leh Hah Mesh Paw Tem, meaning "These are the laws." The Gematria for Vi Ay Leh Hah Mesh Paw Tem is 526. {from right to left} See blue Gematria at
top of page Hah Mesh Paw Tem 42 + 484 = 526 These are the laws that Dovid Ha Melech said are perfect. If one reads the Gematrias of Parshas Haazinu, it will fill in some of the details regarding the Torah's perfection. http://www.jewishpath.org/parshahaazinu.html The benefit from observing Torah law is restoration of one's soul. We disguise it as something else, but our struggle in life is actually surrounding the restoration of Torah observance in our lives. When Torah observance is restored in our lives perfection enters, sets up house, etc. Torah observance establishes and strengthens wisdom. Torah observance gives great joy to one's neshama! There are many struggles that one can succeed at by simply being Torah observant. See "Torah or Bust" http://www.jewishpath.org/torahorbust.html Our connection in Gematria 526 is with the
Hebrew words Vah Ah Vawr Caw Mii Vaw Rah Ceh Chaw, meaning "I
will bless those who bless you." In other words when one
blesses the Torah with reading, studying, learning, etc. the
result is that the Torah blesses us! 234 = Hey = 5 + Chof = 20 + Reish = 200 + Bais = 2+ Aleph = 1 +Vov = 6 Mii Vaw Rah Ceh Chaw 234 + 292 = 526 Those who do not learn Torah and who do not
teach Torah to their children are as if they were already dead.
See "Learning Torah and Observing Mitzvahs " at So we see that learning Torah {the Laws} also gives us and future generations life as well as great blessing. Wishing you the best, Dr. Akiva G.
