Deuteronomy 14:22 -16:17 {Second Day } Maftir: Numbers 28:26 - 31 {Both Days} Habakkuk 2:20 - 3:19 {Second Day} This study of the Holy Days is dedicated in the loving memory of Jack and Bella Noahson may they rest in peace. Between Pesach and Shavuos there are seven weeks of seven, 7 x 7 = 49 days. The Torah states, "Seven weeks count to yourself." Deuteronomy 16:9 Kabbalistically speaking, each week as we count the days and weeks we are to focus on a particular area of thought between Pesach and Shavuos as listed below. Each day within the week we are to consider a particular discipline of that week's focus. In the counting of the omer THERE ARE SEVEN SEFIROS, Kabbalistic spheres which each corresponding to one week of the omer. One can compare sefiros to the Aleph Bais {Hebrew Alphbet}, Gematria words, musical notes etc... Today we are observing our climb of the past forty-nine days. Tonight when Shavuos is ends what do we do? We enter the realm of fifty. We associate fifty with either the highest spiritual level or the opposite which is the greatest distance from what Hashem requires of us. The choice is ours. In Gematria the Hebrew letter Nun represents fifty. The Nun is also a final lettter which represents seven hundred. A few weeks ago in the parsha discussion entitled "How to change the world with one action we discussed the number fifty." So in this discussion we will not trace those steps. Instead we will excellerate to the Gematria of the final letter of the Nun. The Gematria Godal of Nun is 700. The Gematria Mispar Katan on the final letter of Nun is 7. The zeros are dropped. So the Nun is one of five letters that represent three Gematria equivelants. Notice all five:
Now in actuality Hey represents 5, Vav represents 6, Zayin represents 7, Ches represents 8, and Tes represents 9. My intention here is not to question this only demenstraite how 5,6,7,8 and 9 can also represented by another letter other than the normal letter intended to do so. This is important because the Nun represents: Shavuos, the 50th day 7 the number of days in each week 7 the number of weeks in counting the omer 700 - What does Seven hundred represent? The Gematria Regil of Nun represents the annual cycle of Shavuos of this hear being connected with the Shavuos of last year or the Shavuos of next year. Notice that conection in its simplist form: Nun Vav Nun or Shavuos connected to Shavuos. Next when we consider the Gematria Godal Mispar Katan of the Nun the Gematria is NOT 5 + 6 + 5 but rather 7 + 6 + 7. The Gematria Godal Mispar Katan of Nun represents the seven weeks of seven day being connected. Notice the connection Seven weeks {Nun} connected {Vav} by seven days {Nun}. Now we consider the Gematria Godal Miluy of the letter Nun which equals 756. Nun {SPIRITUALITY} The Gematria 756 represents the annual cycle that I refered to earler. Shi Noos, meaning "YEAR" is also the Gematria 756. Shin Noos {YEAR} So in Shin Noos we see the annual mystical cycle from Shavuos to Shavuos and from Seven days of the the week to seven weeks. We also notice that the number seven divides equally into 756 eighteen times. the Gematria of Chai is represented by the number 18. In other words we see a mystical cycle of life in the Nun as well. That mystical cycle of life is represent by the spiritual signifance of the Nun that being the Neshama, the soul which is eternal! We also notice that within the Gematria 756 steps or graduation in The word Shee Noo Voos meaning gradation. Shee Noo Voos {GRADUATION} As stated in yesterday's discussion, The Mystical Journey from Pesach to Shavuos, "We go through this exersize each year to remind us that our life is simular to counting the omer. Each year we repeat the annual cycle of counting the omer. G-d willing we eventually reach Mal Choos Sheh Bi Mal Choos. In the same way through a cycle of lives we will G-d willing reach Mal Choos Sheh Bi Mal Choos "KINGDOM OF THE SEVENTH KINGDOM!" This is the intention of living beyond forty-nine!! May Hashem bless us in our mystical journey to eventually reach Mal Choos Sheh Bi Mal Choos. Good Yom Tov! Dr. Akiva G. Belk JewishPath is a sponsor of B'nai Noach Torah Institute.
