Shalom Ester, It has been close to a month since we received your E-Mail. Subject: Impressive Web Site Dear Rabbi, Shalom David, Thank you for your kind and supportive words! Dr. Belk very much appreciated your E-Mail. We are very happy to learn that you enjoy the JewishPath website. We pray that 5760 is a happy, healthy and successful year for you! Shalom, Rachel Gold Subject: Current Events Greetings. My intention is simply to put out pieces for Jews to read; pieces that will enlighten them as to the various threats facing Jews the world over and Israel in particular. It's been a while since I sent that message to you. What membership are you referring to? Howard
Shalom Howard, We could offer a current events area on our site to work as follows: Any article that is posted
would be removed 30 days after posting. We cannot store current
event articles longer than 30 days because we are essentially
a learning site and not a news site. JewishPath reserves the rights of editorship in regard to spelling, grammar and appropriateness. All articles should have proper grammar, punctuation and spelling.
The option of submitting articles for publication on the JewishPath web page is open to members only. Please see our membership page if you wish to proceed further with membership. Thank you for your interest! We look forward to hearing from you in the future. Best regards, Rachel Gold Subject: Hebrews And Words / Symbols Oct 1999 Hi. I am "making" an outfit (read "buying a few articles of clothing, customizing them, and wearing them together"), and I would like to put symbols of some sort on it. I would like to use my Hebrew name, Tzvi, and possibly a few other animal names, but not in the form of words, but single-character (or close to single) symbols. Do you know whether or not there are any such symbols for animals, and if so, where I might be able to find out what they are? Thank you for your time _____________________ Shalom Tzvi, We would recommend that you contact the people at Maven for help in this area. They are located on our link page. Sincerely, Rachel Gold
Subject: Keeping the Focus When Facing
Divorce
Shabbot Shalom, Please accept my gratitude and love for this wonderful writing on such a difficult topic. You are most liberating to the soul. Praise Adonai for you're effort to fix this broken world. You have been of immense blessing to my fiance` and I. Shalom Philip Shalom Philip, You are very welcome! We appreciate your support and are glad to know that Dr. Belk's article on dealing with divorce has been a help to you and your fiance. Best regards from Dr. Belk. Best regards, Rachel Gold Subject: Request for information "Zera" Please can you direct me to where I can find
the most information available on the topic of Zera. What is
it? What does it mean? Where can I read about it? What is its
importance today? Thank you very much.
The word "Zera" means "seed". To answer appropriately, we need to have more information. Where are you located? Are you Jewish or non Jewish? Can you read Hebrew? This will help us in advising you as to what information is available. Thank you for your interest. Best regards, Rachel Gold _________________
Shalom! Holly
Shalom Holly, Dr. Belk recommends beginning with simple reference books that may be available at your local library like Strong's Concordance or Young's Analytical Concordance. They list every word in the Jewish Tenach and reference them to Hebrew. This will give you a scriptural location for every word referring to "seed". Let us know if these books or others like them are available to you. There are other reference books available but they are expensive and only offer a little information. Best regards, Rachel Gold
Subject: Hebrew Letter Dalet I had a dream I woke up with the word Dalet, I knew I had to look for information. I am Hispanic in my 50's and have been drawn to Kabalah. I am sreaching for the Segula...and the Or. Your now in my faviorte places. Namaste, _________________ Shalom Delia, We are pleased that we are in your favorite places and hope that we will be there for many years to come. Wishing you the best in your studies. Kindest regards, Rachel Gold Subject: Who Is Jewish? Response: Who Is Jewish? Shalom, We cannot determine your heritage based on the information you have provided. However, if you can answer a few questions, we would be glad to respond to you. Please provide us with your genealogy from your great grandmother to the present (mother's side, father's side, etc.). Please identify those in your genealogy whom you know to be Jewish and how you have determined that they are Jewish. At JewishPath, we believe that every soul who received the Torah at Har Sinai is Jewish. That includes the souls of people who may convert to Judaism, the souls of Jews deceived by other religions and those who worship idols and deny the existence of G-d. One needs to understand that G-d intended for those born Jewishly are expected to observe Judaism as their religion. It's not a matter of choice, it's a matter of G-d's command. In addition it is important to understand people who have Jewish names often ARE NOT JEWISH! Regarding the song Hava Nagila..."Hava Nagila" means "Come Let Us Rejoice." All the best, Rachel Gold _____________________
Subject: Receivig A Response from JewishPath 1.Why don't Jews believe in Jesus Christ?
The Bible says that the only way to get into heaven is by believing
in his son. ___________ RESPONSE TO: Receivig Correspondance from JewishPath (See above E-Mail)
Dr. Belk has already clearly answered these questions in detail. You will find articles answering these questions under "Response to Missionaries" located on the index page of JewishPath. Also you may choose to order Dr. Belk's book, Why Jews Don't Believe in Jesus , $24.95 plus $3.00 shipping and handling, no refunds or exchanges. L., Jewishpath does not solicit non-Jewish readership. We discourage any thought of conversion to Judaism. We do not visit the web sites of other religions. We are very content as Jews with our Torah. On the other hand, many non Jews visit our "SIGHT" daily. Some are hypocritical people like you . Some visit out of curiosity. Others visit to learn about Judaism. Some visit hoping to gain information they can use to convert Jews to their particular religious belief, G-D FORBID! L, WE HAVE CLEARLY STATED This is a Jewish web "SIGHT" intended ONLY for descendandts of Avraham, Yitzchok and Yaakov. The articles we write have NEVER been challenged legitmately. We give you facts from the Torah. We give you facts from the New Testament. We give you references. We have spend decades of our lives carefully researching the facts to represent them honestly. Then an uneducated, insincere novice like yourself writes to inform us that "The Old Testament makes it clear that 'G-d' was going to send Jesus. Are you calling 'G-d' a liar?" L you may believe this but THE TORAH DOES NOT SUPPORT YOUR BELIEF. Many people, like you, do not care for our conclusion, but facts are facts! DO NOT come to Jews with your unsupported or distorted beliefs. You cannot read Hebrew therefore you do not know what the Old Testament actually says. You must depend upon people who must depend upon other people who depend upon still other people to tell them what they BELIEVE the Old Testament says. Now, Dr. Belk and the JewishPath staff {who have answered your questions with facts... with evidence in dozens of articles THAT YOU OBVIOUSLY NEVER TOOK THE TIME TO READ} normally will not respond to inquiries like yours even though we receive many. On the other hand, we have responded to truly sincere inquiries from non Jews even though it may be awhile (often up to 60 days). Normally our staff responds to our membership first. They support our "SIGHT"! NEXT we respond to inquiries from within our own religion. Then we respond to other inquiries as time permits. We do not respond to every inquiry! Sincerely, Rachel Gold JewishPath is a sponsor of B'nai Noach Torah Institute. As a sponsor we are permitted to offer one FREE E-Mail course on a limited basis per individual from BNTI's Introduction Courses. We invite you to visit and choose an E - Mail Intro Course. BNTI offers Intro Courses in Judaism and Spirituality {7 Noaich Laws}. BNTI Responses are NOT AUTO!!
