Dear family and friends, our DNA, finger and palm prints, and eye scans are unique to each of us. In addition to these identifiers, God has established a distinct Spiritual identity/name for each of us. (Psalms 147.4) Says, ‘[Lord] counts the number of the stars; He calls them all by their [appointed] name.’ We will discuss the relationship of this Scripture later. (Isaiah 49.1) Says, ‘Hear me, O coastlands, Hearken to God! O Nations from afar, From [my] Mother’s womb Lord appointed [my] Name. From mother’s womb, He caused [my] Name to be remembered.’ (Isaiah 45.3 – 4) Says, ‘And I will give you the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that you may know that I, am Lord, who calls you by your [appointed] Name, I am the God of Israel. For Jacob, my servant’s sake, and Israel, my elect, I have called you by your Name; I have surnamed you, though you have not known me.’ (Isaiah 40.26) Says, ‘Lift your eyes on high, and behold who has created these things; who brings out their host by number, [Lord] calls them all by their names by the greatness of his might, and because he is strong in power not one is missing.’
On the Second Day/Age of creation, our Creator Wrote our names in מִסֵּפֶר חַיִּים Mee Say Peh – Chah Yeem – The Book of Living, i.e., The Book of Eternal Life. On that day, the Name of everyone that will ever live in our universe from beginning to end was written in The Book of The Living. The Book of The Living includes the names of every unborn and every aborted being/soul. Our names were recorded according to the essence of who we are. Only God knows our true essence.
Life flooded each of our souls. We have absolutely NOTHING to do with our Name being written in The Book of The Living. We know this because the Holy Scripture teaches, ‘All of the Hosts of The Heavens were created on The Second Day of Creation.
(Genesis 2.1) Says, ‘Thus the Heavens and the Earth were finished, and וְכָל־צְבָאָם Vih Chawl – Tzih Vaw Awm – ‘ALL The Host of them.’
Ramban, A Torah Sage, Physician, Philosopher, and Kabbalist, taught that וְכָל־צְבָאָם Vih Chawl – Tzih Vaw Awm – meaning – ‘ALL The Host of them’ makes reference to the Angels and the Souls of all humans from every generation. Rabbi Dr. Charles B. Chavel Ramban {Nachmanides} Commentary On The Torah Genesis (Shilo Publishing House, Inc. New York, N.Y. 1990) p59
(Genesis 1.6 – 8) Says, ‘And God Said, let there be רָקִיעַ Raw Kee Ah – a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. And God Made everything from Aleph to Tav of the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament, and it was so. And God Called לָרָקִיעַ שָׁמָיִם Law Raw Kee Ah – Shaw Maw Yeem – the firmament Heaven. And there was evening, and there was morning, the second day. We have just been informed that everything in the firmament, i.e. Heaven, was created on the Second Day. The Torah Teaches us that each day of creation was a generation for the Heavens and the Earth. In other words, each day was NOT measured by 24 hours like in our present age. Instead, a day was measured by generations whose length is unknown. (Genesis 2.4) Says, ‘These areתוֹלְדוֹת Toh Loo Dot – generations of the Heavens and the Earth when they were created, בְּיוֹם עֲשׂוֹת in the day that Lord our God Made the Earth and the Heavens.’
The two great Lights and the stars God Made were created on the Second Day and set in the Heavens on the fourth day. An Angel was appointed ruler over each star. Likewise, souls were assigned bodies. (Isaiah 14.12) Says, ‘How are you fallen from Heaven, Lucifer O bright star, son of the morning! How are you cut down to the ground, you who ruled the nations?’ (Genesis 2.7) Says, ‘And Lord God Formed everything from Aleph to Tav of the Adam from the dust of the ground, and breathed into his / her nostrils נִשְׁמַת חַיִּים the breath of life; and הָאָדָם לְנֶפֶשׁ חַיָּה the Adam became a living soul.’ (Genesis 9.12) Says, ‘And God Said, ‘This is the sign of The Covenant which I give between Me and you and כָּל־נֶפֶשׁ חַיָּה every living soul that is with you, for every generation.’
(Genesis 9.16) Says, ‘And the bow shall be in the cloud, and I will look upon it, that I may לִזְכֹּר בְּרִית עוֹלָם remember The Everlasting Covenant between God and כָּל־נֶפֶשׁ חַיָּה every living soul of בְּכָל־בָּשָׂר אֲשֶׁר עַל־הָאָרֶץ all flesh that is upon the earth.’ Holy Scripture Informs us that God’s Eternal Covenant was given to every living soul of all flesh upon the earth. All souls, past, present, future, born, unborn, and aborted are included. Again, these souls were recorded in The Book of The Living because it was God’s Will.
Holy Scripture ONLY speaks of blotting man out of The Book of The Living. Lord Said,‘Behold, all souls are mine; as the father’s soul, so also the son’s soul is mine; the soul that sins, it shall die’ (Ezekiel 18.4).
From creation until now, our Biblical Obligation has been and will continue to be to fear Lord our God, walk in all His ways, love Him, serve Him with all our heart, and follow His Instructions. The Holy Scriptures teach GENUINE Love of God. Our love is expressed through our dedication to observing the Commands in The Torah. If a child says Mother / Father, I love you those are only false words unless they are firmly supported daily by the child’s actions/deeds. Our actions, i.e., our careful observance of the Mitzvot of Ha Torah, establish our love of God. Those who Love God have nothing to fear. Take comfort in knowing your name is written in the Book of Eternal Living and will not be blotted out!!
(Genesis 6.7) Says, ‘I will blot out the man I created from the face of the earth; both man and beast, and the creeping thing, and the birds of the air; for I will return to when I made them.’ (Exodus 32.32 – 33) Moses said to God, ‘Yet now if you will forgive their sin; and if not, blot me, I beg you, from Your Book which You have written. And Lord Said to Moses, ‘Whoever has sinned against me, he will I blot from My Book.’
David wrote in (Psalms 69.29), ‘Let them be blotted out of The Book of The Living, and not be written with the righteous.’
Dear Ones, we can take comfort in knowing that our Name is recorded in The Book of The Living. It is especially wonderful to know our souls will join other obedant souls in Gan Eden / Heaven. Heaven is a perfect place.
May our study be for good!
Blessings, Love and Peace,
