Genesis 46 Unity

We have the power to elevate ourselves and improve our situation through Ha Torah. Why do dedicated, enthusiastic individuals not need to be jump-started each morning? Why don’t they drag from one morning to the next? What gives them vitality and ambition? They are not sitting on empty, rundown, complacent, or detached!! They are motivated! Why??

Most of us are acquainted with the old saying, ‘If you want something done, ask a busy person to do it.” Can any of us think of an individual that is busier than one’s wife? Solomon wrote about the many responsibilities of a wife in Proverbs 31.10 – 31. How does The Praiseworthy Wife accomplish all these tasks? Perhaps that’s why Solomon wrote, ‘Whoever finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor from the Lord.’?

Has anyone pondered why Jacob sent his sons to Egypt in Genesis 42 and 43? Who cared for their massive herds and flocks while they were away? Who cared for their children and directed their servants? Humm? Good question.

Does anyone find it interesting that Ha Torah does not count Jacob’s wives nor the wives of his sons among the 70 that came to Egypt? What is the reasoning behind that? First, Jacob’s wives had already passed from this life to the next. Second, in the Torah, Adam states that a man leaves his father and his mother, and shall [Physically] cleave to his wife; and they shall be one flesh,’ Genesis 2.24. Adam does not say anything about the spiritual side, the Soul. Why?

Observance of Ha Torah unites our Soul with the Family of Jacob. In Genesis 46, the word Soul refers to two souls and seventy souls. Genesis 46 states concerning the house of Jacob that two souls are ‘One Soul’ and Seventy Souls are ‘One Soul.’ The Soul we share binds us together. We are our brother’s keeper. We are our brother, and our brother is us. We are thankful for the individuals who make up our Jewish Family and their faithful prayers and other observances that lift us.

Ecclesiastes 4.8 – 12

Again Solomon wrote, ‘a man alone, without a companion; he neither has son nor brother, yet there is no end of all his labor; nor is his eye satisfied with riches. He may say, For whom do I labor, and bereave my Soul of good? That also is vanity. Indeed it is a bad business. Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, the one will lift his fellow; but woe to him that is alone when he falls, for he has no one to help him up. Again, if two lie together, they have warmth; but how can one be warm alone? And if one prevails against him, two shall withstand him; a threefold cord is not quickly broken.’ Scripture shares regarding the unity of the body and the Soul. Sometimes we drift away from core principles in Scripture. That is why we group during special seasons like Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, and Sukkot. We plead before The Eternal Judge on these Holy Days, who reviews our sins and the group sins of our ‘one soul.’ So when we say ‘If a soul’s sins,’ we speak both on an individual and a community basis. Our Creator grouped us. Even though there are many bodies, we share the same Soul. Let’s consider אֶת־הָאוֹר Eht Ha Orh, in Genesis 1.4.

Genesis 1.4

וַיַּרְא אֱלֹהִים אֶת־הָאוֹר כִּי־טוֹב וַיַּבְדֵּל אֱלֹהִים בֵּין הָאוֹר וּבֵין הַחֹשֶׁךְ: ס

The Words of The Torah say, ‘God Saw the entire light, i.e., The entire Revelation of Ha Torah, that the Revelation was good; and God Divided the light from the Darkness. The Gematria of אֶת־הָאוֹר Eht Ha Orh, i.e., ‘The entire Revelation of The Words of Ha Torah is 613 Observances! God Uses The Torah to divide between the Words of Light / Revelation from The Words of Darkness. Look at the Text. Light and Darkness are united. Light and Darkness are One. Then they were divided.

Ha Torah Speaks for God. Ha Torah is one with God, but Ha Torah is not God. Scripture States, ‘The Lord Created me at the beginning of His way, the first of His acts of old,’ Proverbs 8.22.

David spoke of Ha Torah being God’s mouthpiece when he wrote, ‘The Torah of Your mouth,’ in Psalms 119.72. Job wrote that Ha Torah is God’s Word in Job 22.22. David challenged us, ‘Give ear, O My people, to My Torah; incline your ears to The Words of My mouth. I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, even before the earth. When there were no depths, I was brought forth; no fountains were abounding with water. Before the mountains were settled, before the hills were brought forth; While as yet He had not Made the earth, nor the fields, nor the highest part of the dust of the world. When He Established the heavens, I was there; when He Drew a circle on the face of the deep; When He Established the clouds above; when He Strengthened the fountains of the deep; When He Gave to the sea His decree, that the waters should not pass His Commandment; when He Appointed the foundations of the earth; Then I was by Him, like a little child; and I was daily His delight, always rejoicing before Him; Rejoicing in His inhabited world, and my delights were with the sons of men. Now, therefore, listen to me, O you children; for happy are they who keep my ways. Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not. Happy is the man who hears me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors. Whoever finds me finds life, and shall obtain favor from the Lord,’ Psalms 78.23 – 35

Originally the Male Adam and the female Adam shared one body and one soul. Then the female Adam was taken from the male Adam. They still shared the same single soul.

The Words כָּל־הַנֶּפֶשׁ Cawl Ha Nefesh – Meaning – All the Soul – in Genesis 46.26 is the Gematria of 480. Cawl Ha Nefesh speaks of unity and being ‘One’. Genesis 1.4 speaks a second time regarding unity.

Genesis 1.4

וַיַּרְא אֱלֹהִים אֶת־הָאוֹר כִּי־טוֹב וַיַּבְדֵּל אֱלֹהִים בֵּין הָאוֹר וּבֵין הַחֹשֶׁךְ: ס

The Gematria of וַיַּבְדֵּל אֱלֹהִים בֵּין הָאוֹר וּבֵין הַחֹשֶׁךְ is 480. ‘And God Divided the light [Revelation] from the – Darkness shows the unity of Words and Gematria!

Genesis 1.5

And God Called the light Day, and the Darkness He Called Night. And there was evening, and there was morning, ‘One day.’

We Observe the unity in Day and Night — And evening and morning. They were not the first Day they were One Day.

Dear Ones, we, the descendants of Jacob, have been scattered to every nation on the earth, but we are being drawn back together. Our political stance is all over the board. We are left, right, and center, But that is going to change. How do we visualize Abraham? Was Abraham left – Liberal or right conservative. What was Noah’s political stance? It does not matter because we are being drawn from every political position and every place in creation. We have many bodies but only one Soul—our Soul hungers for the land of Israel and the messianic age.

Isaiah 11.12

And He shall Set up a banner for the nations, assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.

Dear ones, our discussion teaches us eagerness, excitement, and enthusiasm, to arise early to enjoy studying The Word of God, i.e., The Torah. May each of us succeed in evaluating our souls and identifying and removing any obstructions to our spiritual life. May each of us be blessed with clear thinking and a positive attitude. May we be blessed and cleansed as needed.

May The Lord Bless us in our daily walks, and may we stay within The Torah’s Guidelines. May we help others, May we bring peace and healing to our world. May this coming Sabbath and every Sabbath be a blessed Day. May we each prepare for Rosh HaShannah, The Ten Days of Repentance, Yom Kippur, and Sukkot. May we be suitable. May our Names continue living in The Book of Life!!

Good Sabbath!
