Dear Ones, we have just entered the new year, 5783 From Creation. That means Rosh Ha Shanna, the ten days of repentance, and Yom Kippur has ended. Jewish Congregations worldwide will read the last Parshat of Devarim / Deuteronomy – Vezot Habracha and the first Parshat of Bereisheit – Bereisheit / Genesis. As many know that traditionally symbolizes Our cycle of Torah learning for last year has concluded, and the new\ cycle of Torah Learning for this year has begun. We pray for a successful year of learning. At JewishPath.Org, we learn one chapter of Bereisheit / Genesis each week. This week we are going to review sexual confusion. God Gave us an OS operating system for every issue crossing our path. Ha Torah clarifies our sexuality. (Genesis 1.11) says, ‘God Said, Let the earth bring forth grass, herb yielding seed, and fruit tree yielding fruit לְמִינוֹ – after his kind.’ לְמִינֵהוּ (Genesis 1.12) says, ‘And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed לְמִינֵהוּ after its kind, and tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, לְמִינֵהוּ after its kind; and God Saw that it was good.’ (Genesis 1.21;24;25) Repeat this message. The Lord God MADE each seed-yielding fruit tree after in own fruit kind. Mixing fruit trees is forbidden! Engrafting one fruit tree into another fruit tree is forbidden. Rabbi A. Y. Kahan The Taryag Mitzvot (Brooklyn, N.Y. Keser Torah Publications 1987, 1988) pp 161 – 162.1,657 years later HaShem said to Noah, (Genesis 7.2-3), ‘Of every clean beast you shall take to you seven pairs, אִישׁ male וְאִשְׁתּוֹ and his female; and of beasts that are not clean one pair, male וְאִשְׁתּוֹ and his female; Of birds also of the air by seven pairs, male and female; to keep seed alive upon the face of all the earth.’ The root Word for both לְמִינוֹ Lih Mee Noh and לְמִינֵהוּ Lih Mee Nay Hoo is מִין Meen meaning kind, species gender, or sex. The Gematria for מִין Meen is 100. The Gematria for עַל Ahl – meaning High, higher, to go up, aloft is also 100. The smoke from an offering is to rise – go up. In other words, take the higher road when in question. Ha Torah explains the spiritual path of sexuality. Ha Torah can help support and guide us through any doubts or concerns about our sexuality.
